Welcome to Mrs. Carl's Wiki for Chem103

Welcome to my new Wiki. Since this is my first Wiki, I need plenty of feedback on how it is working. The purpose of this Wiki is for students in my evening class on Ava campus to be able to get help on the material we are learning and help on the labs if necessary. Since this is a Wiki, my goal is for you to be able to help each other and communicate with each other through this site as well, so feel free to use make your voice heard.

I want to make this site helpful to you the students so the first thing I will provide is an easy way to email me. The email address I check constantly is moc.liamg|lraceikcaj#moc.liamg|lraceikcaj so send me a note if you are confused about anything.

Your grades will be found at [http://www.engrade.com] You will need to set up an account and then you will be able to log in and see what your grade is in the class.

I also have other websites that might be helpful to you. The webpage that I use to provide links for my high school chemistry students is Conceptual chemistry Links
A website that may be helpful for you while doing the labs is Main Lab Page This is the site where I got the labs you will be doing at home. I got some of the labs from the non-science majors labs and some from the science majors labs. Only the labs from the science majors set will have web-based equivalents.
The first lab that you have already done is the ice cube lab. It can be found at Ice Cube Lab If you go to the fourth page there is a link at the top and you can download the data pages as a Word document and type your answers, but it isn't necessary.

I think everyone had an easy enough time with chapter 1. Chapter two was not so easy, so I am going to create a page for chapter 2 even though we have already covered it. Feel free to use any of the links to help you understand the concepts if you are still having problems. As I am reading this I realize that by the time you read this you will have finished chapter 3 as well, but again, the information is available if you want to use it before the test on March 5th.
